I really like how Sangjun Lee also includes production-related concept art on his site, like this one which has notes for model rigging on it.
I think theres a mild misconception among some fans that concept art is just pretty paintings (and dont get me wrong, I love me some pretty paintings), but theres more to it than that and I super love seeing stuff like this

Rewatching Horton Hears A Who

I love this film so much

All the Seuss references

Will Arnett’s silly russian accent

The incredible score

And the animation is so top notch. Like how they figured out how to get CG models to do some of this stuff is beyond me, and the animation shows off the rubbery rigs like it was nothing!! This stuff was MINDBLOWING to me back in 08 and it still holds up incredibly well!

Like if you’ve never done any 3D animation, the best way to describe it is imagine puppeteering a marionette whose controls were designed by a team of the mentally insane. And then to get such fluid and expressive poses and transitions out of it is nothing short of a wonder. Look at this sequence:

THE WHOLE MOVIE IS LIKE THIS! ITS INCREDIBLE

Lorax fandom

If theres no Once-ler/JoJo ships I will be super disappointed in all of you

True story, I once searched for Horton Hears a Who on Deviant Art shortly after the movie came out. And it was all JoJo art. All of it. Each and every one.
